x Halimiocistus wintonensis

A cross between Halimium and Cistus which are both found growing in hot dry soils, so this plant also requires well drained sandy soil and full sun.

It is a small evergreen hardy shrub, with small grey-green leaves, and in early summer it develops saucer shaped white flowers with a deep crimson centre which are very striking, making a good companion to lavender, euphorbias and eryngiums.
